
Iran’s petrochemical exports rise 26 percent
TEHRAN (ISNA) - An Iranian oil official said that the country’s petrochemicals exports rose by 26 percent during the current Iranian calendar year, which started on March 20,1,2015, comparing to similar period last year.
Production Control Manager of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Ali Mohammad Bosaghzadeh also said Iran’s petrochemical exports totaled 43 million tons during the period, adding that Iran plans to raise the figure to 46 million tons by the end of the current Iranian year.
He noted that over 60 percent of products of petrochemical complexes are exported abroad, adding after implementation of the JCPOA, it is expected that equipment and chemicals would be available for petrochemical units easier next year.
