France's Axens, Ceca supports Iran's Noori petrochemical project
France's Axens and Ceca have joined Iran's Noori petrochemical project, touted as one of the world's largest aromatic projects.
Mojtaba Taheri, the plant's managing director, said the two companies are involved in replacing the molecular sieve and absorption tower panels of the plant.
Speaking to NIPNA, Taheri said the sieves are purchased from Ceca, a global player in specialty chemicals including adsorbents, chemical intermediates and additives, and have been delivered to the plant.
He said besides purchasing the items, their installation needs foreign support which is to be carried out by Axens technicians and their Iranian co-workers.
Taheri also predicted that the project will come online by September 2018.
Noori petrochemical plant is one of the world's biggest aromatic production plants with 5.4 million tons of annual capacity.
Axens is an international provider of advanced technologies, catalysts, adsorbents and services, with a global reputation for basic engineering design excellence.
